Artist Profile

Jeffrey James

Jeffrey James’ work inhabits the interstitial space between architecture and art. His work observes Modernist protocols of space-making and is derived from the Russian Constructivist juxtapositions of building elements, yet it also is reminiscent of the architectural work of the Modernist Master architect, Mies Van Der Rohe.
All in all it is unsurprising to hear of James’ work being exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer show this year. The purity of the drawing meets the purity of unencumbered architecture in these exciting new pieces.
