Ed Thompson in the BJP

Eyestorm Photographer Ed Thompson was recently featured in the British Journal of Photography for the Project Assistance Awards in association with Nikon. Each week the BJP showcase an artist who is looking for funding or assistance in a particular project.


‘My Project: Texas is the US’ second largest state, home of George Bush and all-round bastion of American core values. The series was made in 16 weeks over a two year period (2006/2007) and all shot on 120 negative. It was undertaken while studying the MA in photojournalism and documentary photography at LCC gaining a distinction. The work has been shown on Channel Four’s Picture This and images from the series will be part of the Backlight 08 exhibition, TickleAttack, based in Tampere, Finland.’


Thompson’s work recently featured on the front cover of The Sunday Times, and in the Sunday Times magazine, The Sunday Telegraph, The Sunday Mirror, The Guardian, The Observer Food Monthly, the BJP and the 2008 Shots Directory.
